STOP BURNING ORDER – Effective Friday May 23, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. (Arizona time)
The Fire Chief has directed that a STOP BURNING ORDER go into effect on Friday May 23, 2025 at 6:00 a.m. (Arizona time) due to the anticipated increase in warmer temperatures, dryer conditions, and the possibility of other wildland burning conditions. Every time BEFORE you burn you must call phone # 928-347-5572. See Resolution 2022-13

Open Burning Season Resumes – Saturday September 21, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. (Arizona Time)
The Fire Chief has rescinded the stop burning order that went into effect on June 8, 2024. Open burning (with caution) may resume effective on September 21, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. (Arizona Time). A burn permit is required and the Fire District must be notified every time before you burn.
