The Insurance Services Office ISO Rating
The Insurance Services Office’s (ISO) expert staff collects information about fire suppression efforts in communities throughout the United States. ISO analyzes relevant data and then assigns a PPC grade to the community – a number from 1 to 10. Class 1 represents a superior fire suppression program, and Class 10 indicates that the fire suppression program does not meet ISO’s minimum criteria. The ISO fire score is provided to insurance companies who use the information to determine insurance rates. Each insurance company independently determines the premiums it charges its policyholders.
The Beaver Dam/Littlefield Fire District maintains an overall PPC rating of 6/6+.
